Dr. Marshall teaches philosophy at CSTM and has been in the service of the Catholic Church for the past six years. In 2006, he was appointed as Assistant Director of the Catholic Information Center in Washington, D.C., where he lectured regularly. Dr. Marshall received his B.A. in Philosophy from Texas A&M University and his M.A. and Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Dallas. He is the author of The Crucified Rabbi: Judaism and the Origins of Catholic Christianity and The Catholic Perspective on Paul. Regarding the choice of Mr. Marshall as dean, CSTM president Mr. Michael King said, “Dr. Marshall is the complete person for this job. He has both the academic qualities and the personal character that we want. He understands the mission and lives the mission with his home and family. He believes in a return to a scholastic foundation for students and that is our mission as well. His character and spirituality fit perfectly. We want to produce men like him, articulate, Catholic, kind, spiritual, faithful.” Mr. King believes that CSTM will be profoundly shaped by Dr. Marshall’s presence. “His strength of character is his greatest attribute. In the intellectual, spiritual and moral formation of students, he brings the complete package. Because he strives to be what he wants his students to be, he is thereby a good example, and that is the area where he’ll have an enduring impact.”
