Ave Maria School of Law and The Catholic University of America co-hosted a conference reflecting on the contemporary application of John Paul II’s apostolic letter on the dignity of women, Mulieris Dignitatem
. Celebrating the document’s twentieth anniversary, the participating scholars at the conference presented papers on themes drawn from the apostolic letter. According to the Law School’s website: “After several panels’ bleak portrayal of our current legal system’s acceptance of the ‘culture of death,’ one participant asked Professor Adolphe [Associate Professor of Law] if there was hope for a change that would include natural law, Catholic principles, and the culture of life. Professor Adolphe exclaimed that there is hope, citing the existence of conferences like this one and schools like Ave Maria School of Law that utilize natural law and foster a wider spectrum of debate than general legal discourse.” Source: Ave Maria School of Law
