Thomas Aquinas College Mourns Passing of Former VP John Blewett

Thomas Aquinas College mourns the passing of Mr. John W. Blewett, who died on Friday, February 8, after a protracted illness. An emeritus member of the Board of Governors, Mr. Blewett served as a vice president of the College for 18 years until his retirement in 1997.

Blewett is also the father

of three Thomas Aquinas College alumni.

John's funeral arrangements include:

  • Rosary: Friday, February 15, at 7:30 p.m. in Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity Chapel, followed by an all-night vigil

  • Funeral Mass: Saturday, February 16, 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of the Most Holy Trinity Chapel (extraordinary form)

  • Graveside service: Immediately following the Funeral Mass, Santa Paula Cemetery (procession will leave the College)

  • Luncheon: St. Joseph Commons, after the graveside service (1:30 p.m.)
