Benedictine College is honoring Pope Benedict XVI with a day of prayer and an all-school Mass on February 28, his final day as pope. St. Benedict’s Abbey, which is adjacent to the college campus, will ring its bells at 1:00 p.m., corresponding to 8:00 p.m. in Rome, which is the official end of his Pontificate.
The schedule of events at Benedictine will include:

Mass of Thanksgiving for Pope Benedict in the Abbey Church, Celebrant, Abbot James Albers, OSB
Following Mass, the Memorare prayer will be recited and candles will be placed by a picture of Pope Benedict.
1:00 p.m.
