DeSales University's Salesian Center for Faith & Culture is working with the Diocese of Allentown to celebrate the Year of Faith with a special campaign including many events.
The University recently hosted Erika Bachiochi, J.D., a member of the Catholic Women's Forum of the Holy See's United Nations Mission, for a symposium on faith and relationships. Bachiochi is the author of Women, Sex, and the Church.
Here's more from DeSales:
The Salesian Center for Faith & Culture, in collaboration with the Diocese of Allentown, has planned a series of events to celebrate the Year of Faith, which began on October 11, 2012 and will end on the Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Universal King, on 24 November 2013. The opening of this special year also marks the fiftieth anniversary of the opening of the Second Vatican Council and the twentieth anniversary of the publication of the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
Established in 2000, The Salesian Center for Faith and Culture’s mission is to promote the interaction of faith and culture, in a mutually beneficial engagement, through academic initiatives that focus on the authentic integration of social concerns and gospel values. The Salesian Center supports intellectual activity in research studies, dialogue events including public forums and lectures and partnership programs.
