Kiplinger Personal Finance Magazine has included The Catholic University of America, Christendom College, Franciscan University of Steubenville, Thomas Aquinas College, and the University of Dallas among the “best values” in private higher education, ranking the schools among the top 100 private universities in the nation. The universities were included among such nationally recognized institutions as Princeton University, Yale University, Harvard University, and Duke University.
“As always, (this year’s) rankings for best values in private colleges and universities identify institutions that are both academically strong and affordable, (which is) our definition of value,” said Jane Bennett Clark, senior associate editor for Kiplinger’s Personal Finance.
The universities scored high marks across a range of measurable standards, including the freshman retention rate, financial aid, and the four- and five-year graduation rates.
The annual Kiplinger top-100 ranking appear in Kiplinger’s December 2012 issue. The full list of schools can be found at www.kiplinger.com/links/college.
