DeSales University in Center Valley, PA, will hold its annual memorial Arts & Culture series in honor of Blessed Pope John Paul II next month.
The series, which is run by the University's Salesian Center for Faith and Culture, will feature Catholic singer and songwriter Ryan Tremblay on Tuesday, April 2.
Each year, the Arts & Culture event in honor of Blessed Pope John Paul II is held on or around the anniversary of the pontiff's death and focuses on the beauty of the arts, according to the University. Here's more about this year's event from DeSales:
Tremblay shares his personal Catholic turnaround with powerful drumming, heart-felt songs and a true and sometimes hilarious story. The show is about his love of the people and sacraments of the Catholic Church and his newly-discovered appreciation of the power of both in his life.
A devout and practicing Catholic, Tremblay is also a musician, singer and songwriter. He holds a music degree from Rhode Island College where he won several awards. Tremblay discovered the teachings in John Paul II’s book, Theology of the Body, to be one of the driving forces behind his commitment and journey to inspire a generation to come with his message set to music.
