George Weigel to Deliver College of Saint Mary Magdalen Commencement Address

The noted author and biographer of Blessed John Paul II, George Weigel, will deliver the commencement address at the College of Saint Mary Magdalen at 10:45 AM on Saturday, May 4th, in Warner, NH.  Weigel will give his address on Evangelical Catholicism in the 21st century and will receive an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters. Bishop Peter Libasci will be the celebrant for the Baccalaureate Mass at 9:00 AM at Our Lady, Queen of Apostles Chapel on campus.

A distinguished Senior Fellow of Washington's Ethics and Public Policy Center, Weigel won world-wide acclaim in 1999 with the publication of Witness to Hope: The Biography of Pope John Paul II. The book was a major study of the life, thought, and action of Pope John Paul II. His most recent publication is Evangelical Catholicism: Deep Reform in the 21st - Century Catholic Church.
