Dominican University of California Admits Misreporting Admissions Data

According to Inside Higher Ed:

Dominican University of California announced last week that it had for many years misreported admissions data to the Education Department as well as to U.S. News & World Report and other groups that rank colleges.

Dominican admitted to counting incomplete applications, thereby making the University seem more competitive than it really was, by as much as 20 percent. Inside HIgher Ed reports that the 2011 admission rate was 72.6 percent of applicants, but Dominican reported 53.7 percent.
