John Paul the Great Catholic University is Moving to Escondido

UT San Diego reports that the final hurdle has been cleared that will allow John Paul the Great Catholic University to establish a campus in downtown Escondido. City Council members approved the move on May 1.

The University plans to utilize the former site of the Mingei International Museum, and students will live in an apartment complex less than a half-mile from the campus.

University President Derry Connolly told the Tribune that classes would begin at the new location as soon as July 1.

Connolly is also looking at nearby sites for administrative offices and parking.
