Barbara McGuigan recently welcomed Cardinal Newman Society President Patrick J. Reilly to her EWTN radio program "The Good Fight."
Patrick explained the background and history of Catholic higher education in the decades leading up to Blessed Pope John Paul II's promulgation of the apostolic constitution on Catholic universities, Ex corde Ecclesiae.
Patrick also discussed the trials he experienced while standing up for Catholic identity as an undergraduate student at Fordham University and how this led to the founding of The Cardinal Newman Society.
The entire interview is available online at EWTN here.
The Cardinal Newman Society was also pleased to be able to join host Kathy Sinnot recently for an installment of EWTN Radio's Celtic Connections program. Reilly joined Sinnot for a discussion on Boston College's troubling decision to honor pro-abortion Irish Prime Minister Enda Kenny at commencement. The program is available here.
