Students and alumni from Our Lady Seat of Wisdom Academy (OLSWA) participated in Canada's March for Life last month in several exciting ways.
The Academy reported that the annual pro-life event in Ottawa was attended by approximately 25,000 people, the biggest ever, and a 25% increase since the last year.
OLSWA students and alumni not only boosted the numbers of the March, but also volunteered and helped support the event. Working with the group Campaign Coalition Youth, Academy alumni held key positions in the organization of March for Life programs.
Kathleen Dunn, a 2012 graduate of OLSWA, co-hosted EWTN's Life on the Rock with Fr. Mark Mary. This year marked the network's first-ever live coverage of the Canadian March for Life. The pair "interviewed politicians, religious, and prominent leaders in the Pro-Life movement," the Academy reported. Additionally, alumnus Patrick Crane also provided coverage of the March by reporting for LifeSiteNews.com.
Many OLSWA students sang in the choir for the Pro-Life Mass at the Notre Dame Cathedral. The Mass was celebrated by Archbishop Christian Lépine of Montreal.
