In response to Pope Benedict XVI’s call for a new evangelization, the Sophia Institute Press—the publishing arm of Holy Spirit College in Atlanta, Georgia and Thomas More College in Merrimack, New Hampshire—has acquired the popular internet site Catholic Exchange.
Gareth Genner, President of Holy Spirit College, who serves as Chairman of the Board of Sophia Institute Press, said: “This is the next step in the creation of a multi-platform media company dedicated to the new evangelization. We expect great things from the synergy of the Press and Catholic Exchange.”
Thomas More College President William Fahey told the Cardinal Newman Society that Sophia is embracing new technology. ”I believe new technology can compliment the older modes of communication as a way of promoting the new evangelization,” he said.
