Dr. Kevin Roberts will be inaugurated as the second president of Wyoming Catholic College, and the future site of the institution will be blessed later this month, according to the College.
Dr. Roberts co-founded John Paul the Great Academy, a co-ed pre-kindergarten through 12th grade Catholic liberal arts school in Lafayette, La., which was honored by The Cardinal Newman Society in the 2012 Catholic High School Honor Roll.
He has big plans for this faithful, Catholic college:
“I believe that Wyoming Catholic College can help alter the course of education in this country through its commitment to fusing faith and reason… The world of Catholic liberal arts education needs a shot in the arm, and my few months here at WCC have definitely convinced me that our students are just the young leaders to deliver that zeal."
Wyoming Catholic also opens the academic year with Mass at Broken Anvil Ranch — the future home of Wyoming Catholic College — which is fourteen miles south of the present location. College co-founder Bishop David Ricken of Green Bay will celebrate the Mass and bless the future campus.
Wyoming Catholic College is recommended by the Newman Society in The Newman Guide for its strong Catholic identity.
