Univ. of St. Thomas (TX) Hires FOCUS Missionary as Director of Student Evangelization

The University of St. Thomas in Houston named Lee Vigil as the new director of student evangelization.  Vigil served on the campus as a missionary with the Fellowship of Catholic University Students (FOCUS) for the past four years.

Vigil’s evangelization efforts will continue as he reaches out to students to help them learn about and grow in the faith.  He will be initiating a number of new Catholic programs and sharing ways to spread the Gospel.

“I look forward to seeing the students come alive in faith and observe them develop an insatiable desire to share their faith with their peers,” Vigil said.

The University of St. Thomas is recommended by the Newman Society in The Newman Guide for its strong Catholic identity.
