It’s common to find graduates of faithful Catholic colleges dedicating their life and work to building up the Church. And three Mount St. Mary’s graduates are an example of just that – they used their liberal arts degrees to build a film and design company suited for Catholic clients, according to the University in Emmitsburg, Md.
Billy Phillips, C'12, Jennifer Gasse, C'11, and Gary Gasse, C'12, studied theology at the Mount and earned double majors in philosophy, psychology, and communications before founding their company, Coronation.
“We believe the Church needs artists and creators who understand the Gospel in order to create material that is truly set apart,” said Phillips. “We want to see Catholic media succeed in the digital landscape and give clients the creative voice they need to get their message heard.”
Located in Frederick, Md., Coronation has worked on projects for the Legion of Christ and Regnum Christi, among others.
Mount St. Mary’s University is recommended in The Newman Guide for its strong Catholic identity.
