The University of St. Thomas in Houston is introducing “UST Wordview,” a new TV series “that explores the richness of the Catholic faith,” according to a press release from the University.
UST Worldview will provide faithful Catholic programming for those in the Houston area, airing on local television station The KUBE on Saturday mornings for 25 weeks. The University is working in collaboration with Salt and Light Catholic Media Foundation to produce the series.
Many of the institutions recommended in The Newman Guide for strong Catholic identity, such as UST,extend their evangelization efforts to the local community. Just last month, Christendom College announced the addition of a second Catholic radio station.
Dr. Robert Ivany, UST president, is hopeful about the positive impact of “UST Worldview,” especially for the next generation. He said:
Captivating documentaries on recently canonized saints and interviews with prominent thought leaders will give our viewers, especially our youth, inspiration and hope for the future.
The opening of each episode will feature one-minute introductions by Cardinal Daniel DiNardo, Archbishop of Galveston-Houston, Dr. Ivany, and other academic and religious leaders from the University.
