Christendom College president Timothy O’Donnell, STD, KGCHS, will be participating in upcoming pontifical meetings in Rome and in Mexico, according to the College.
O’Donnell was appointed a papal consulter to the Vatican by Blessed Pope John Paul II and then was reappointed by Pope Benedict XVI. On this trip, O’Donnell will be included in an exclusive audience with Pope Francis.
In his 20 plus years as president of Christendom College, O’Donnell has been committed to making the college a place where Catholicism is “the air that we breathe” and all faculty members are practicing Catholics.
The topic for discussion in Rome will be the family, including the “role of the State in recognizing marriage and the theological foundation of the Vatican’s 1983 Charter of the Rights of the Family.” In Mexico, the meeting will focus on Our Lady of Guadalupe and the New Evangelization.
Christendom College is recommended in The Newman Guide for its strong Catholic Identity.
