Students from Our Lady Seat of Wisdom Academy (OLSWA) in Barry's Bay, Ontario, recently took part in an annual walking pilgrimage to nearby St. Mary's Church in Wilno, Ontario, OLSWA announced.
The journey to St. Mary's--which took the pilgrims three hours in the cold and windy conditions--was marked by prayer before, during and at the end of the pilgrimage. Inside the historic church, the group prayed a Divine Mercy Chaplet and sang a hymn to the Blessed Virgin Mary. The pilgrims offered their intentions for the academy, friends and family, priests, Pope Francis, the Church, and the Holy Souls in Purgatory.
A number of potential students participating in the OLSWA "Come and See" weekend also took part in the pilgrimage.
After the pilgrimage, an OLSWA professor's family welcomed the students into their home for a meal.
Our Lady Seat of Wisdom Academy is recommended in The Newman Guide for its strong Catholic identity.
