Dr. Robert Ivany, president of the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Tex., will be visiting Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minn., later this month to speak to prospective students and their parents about "The Value of a Catholic Education" at UST.
According to the University:
In addition to hosting a Welcome Brunch for Catholic high school counselors and principals, he will also visit several area schools and have a chance to interact directly with students.
Dr. Ivany is looking forward to making his trip to the upper mid-west to become better acquainted with students in the region and introduce them to the unique opportunities available at UST, Houston. He says, "the University’s driving passion and mission, is educating leaders of faith and character,” and that the faculty, facilities, and disciplines of study “must prepare students for the complexities of the global world.”
Dr. Ivany will deliver a public address at 7:30 p.m., January 28, 2014, in the Roseville Community Center in Roseville, Minn.
