The University of Mary in Bismark, N.D., will host George Weigel for a presentation on his new book, Roman Pilgrimage: The Station Churches, for students studying in Rome, according to the University.
Weigel, a Distinguished Senior Fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center in Washington, D.C., “takes his readers on a spiritual pilgrimage to some of Rome's most venerable and beloved churches” in his new book co-authored by Elizabeth Lev.
University of Mary President Monsignor James Shea stated:
For those who have never had the joy of experiencing in person this profound annual Lenten and Easter devotion, the beautiful images and meditative passages in George Weigel's book will be a marvelous gift, carrying them to the streets of Rome and into its treasury of churches… What an enormous opportunity for our students studying at our Rome campus! This will have a profound impact on them knowing they will meet and visit with the man whose works they read most frequently - one of the world's leading scholars and authors on the Catholic faith.
The University of Mary is recommended in The Newman Guide for strong Catholic identity.
