Lenten Prayer Campaign for Catholic Colleges and Schools

The Cardinal Newman Society is inviting members and other Catholics to join in a Lenten Prayer Campaign by adopting a particular Catholic school or college to pray for in the days leading up to Easter.

In response to the scandals in fidelity at many Catholic institutions, the Newman Society is asking for prayers to restore strong Catholic identity.  The Society suggests praying for a Jesuit college that has fallen away from its founding mission.

Others may choose to pray for an institution that is fighting the culture and already has strong Catholic identity, such as a college from The Newman Guide or a Catholic High School Honor Roll school.

The Lenten Prayer Campaign is for the sake of the institutions, but also for the souls of the students at Catholic schools and colleges.

The Cardinal Newman Society is encouraging participants of the Lenten Prayer Campaign to post the name of the Catholic college or school that they will pray for on this Facebook post.
