Minnesota Catholic Colleges Host Drag Show

The College of St. Benedict (CSB) and St. John’s University (SJU) in Minnesota will be hosting a drag show tonight, according to the two colleges’ online events schedule.

The student group People Representing the Sexual Minority (PRiSM) is sponsoring the event that will reportedly feature “student performers and professional drag kings and queens.”

PRiSM’s Facebook event page describes the event this way:

People Representing the Sexual Minority is proud to once again invite everyone to this semester's drag show! With returning professionals Trixi Del Mar, Dexter Maine-Love, Tawnya Tootsieroll, and new to PRiSM's show, Carmen Love, this show will sure to be fantastic. Student performers include groups Girls2Men, the Booty Boyz, as well as a performance by Naughty Nancy and MANY others.

The website for CSB and SJU states that PRiSM’s mission is about “promoting equality and advocating for GLBT rights on campus.” The group’s Facebook page has links to a same-sex marriage advocacy group called OutFront Minnesota.
