High School Students Invited to Catholic Apologetics Summer Camp

The Envoy Institute is hosting a “Catholic Apologetics Summer Camp” for high school students in Brevard, N.C., from August 10-16, 2014.

The camp is designed for students ages 15 to 18 who want “to better know their Faith, more clearly explain their Faith, and more charitably defend their faith” in the company of peers who also want to learn about their Faith, according to the Institute's website.

Teens attending the camp will “experience world-class apologetics training on the biblical and historical foundations of the Catholic Church, as well as on modern ideological and cultural challenges (e.g., atheism, moral relativism),” according to the Institute.

Speakers include Patrick Madrid, Matt Fradd, and Father Paul Scalia, chaplain and board member of The Cardinal Newman Society.

The training sessions will be combined with opportunities for Mass, devotions, and outdoor activities in the Blue Ridge Mountains like hiking, whitewater rafting, and swimming.
