Walsh University in North Canton, Ohio, recently formed a new School of Arts and Sciences, the University reported. It is one of three comprehensive schools now found at Walsh.
According to the University website:
In the spirit of the Catholic intellectual tradition, the School of Arts and Sciences will provide a dynamic and diverse learning experience that will foster the personal and professional development of Walsh students, encouraging reflective, creative and critical thinking, effective communication, and a commitment to servant leadership.
The School includes more than 24 majors within the humanities, languages and letters, mathematics and sciences, philosophy, and theology departments. It will also house the general education and honors programs. Dr. Ute Lahaie, former dean of undergraduate studies, will serve as its dean.
Walsh University is recommended in The Newman Guide for its strong Catholic identity.
