The Diocese of Venice and Ave Maria University announced yesterday that Bishop Frank Dewane will dedicate the “Parish of the Ave Maria Oratory” on Monday, March 31. Following the dedication, Bishop Dewane and Ave Maria’s administration will hold a press conference detailing how the Oratory will serve both the students of the university and the residents of the Town of Ave Maria, Florida.
The dedication marks an important milestone for the development of Ave Maria University, which opened its permanent campus for classes at the beginning of this academic year. Joseph Esposito, Editor of The Newman Guide to Choosing a Catholic College: What to Look For and Where to Find It noted: “The Ave Maria Oratory is designed to be the center of a rich and vibrant spiritual life for students, and The Cardinal Newman Society congratulates Ave Maria on its imminent dedication.”
