(8/5/08) O'Donnell: "The laity is called to excercise their apostolate as a leaven in the world."
Christendom College’s annual Summer Institute this year focused on the role of the laity in the life of the Catholic Church. Institute speakers included Rep. Chris Smith, producer Steve McEveety, pro-life doctor John Bruchalski, scholar Father Thomas Dubay, columnist Colleen Carroll Campbell, and Christendom president Dr. Timothy O’Donnell, who said: “There can be no intelligent understanding of the role of the laity in the Church’s apostolate without a precise understanding of the Church herself. All members are called to contribute to Her growth. The laity is called to exercise their apostolate as a leaven in the world.” Source: Christendom.edu
