Notre Dame to Hold Darwin Conference Sponsored by Pontifical Council

Under the Patronage of the Pontifical Council for Culture, the University of Notre Dame is partnering with the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome to hold an international conference discussing Charles Darwin’s “The Origin of the Species.”  The conference will discuss the work from an objective, scientific perspective, as opposed to the polemical, ideological perspective which is associated with Darwinism.  “The aim is to generate wide-ranging rational discussion in order to favor fruitful dialogue among scholars from various fields and areas of expertise.
