(2/27/09) Thinks Roe v. Wade, the 1973 Supreme Court ruling... was correctly decided
Former Vice President Walter Mondale will speak on “Reflections on Public Life and Civic Engagement” at Saint John’s University in Collegeville, MN, on March 16. Mondale, who was also the Democratic nominee for President in 1984, “opposed a ban on the late-term abortion procedure called ‘partial-birth abortion’ by its opponents,” according to the Minneapolis-St. Paul Star Tribune. “Mondale thinks Roe vs. Wade, the 1973 Supreme Court ruling that established abortion rights, was correctly decided and said he would not vote to confirm a nominee whom he thought would help overturn the decision.” Source: College of Saint Benedict / Saint John’s University
