| | | Join CNS and EPPC for “MODEST PROPOSALS: A Conversation About Sex on Campus” on November 13th
You’ve read about them separately in the Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, the New York Times, and the Washington Post, where they’ve drawn national attention to the damaging effects of the “hookup” culture. You’ve seen them separately on “Good Morning America,” ABC News, “The Today Show,” Fox News, and CNN. Now, for the first time, witness them together—the best known authors of books addressing sexual promiscuity on college campuses—discussing problems and solutions to one of America’s most pressing social crises. On November 13, from 5 to 7 p.m., The Ethics and Public Policy Center, in collaboration with the Cardinal Newman Society, will present Wendy Shalit (Girls Gone Mild, A Return to Modesty), Dr. Miriam Grossman (Unprotected: A Campus Psychiatrist Reveals How Political Correctness in Her Profession Endangers Every Student), Dawn Eden (The Thrill of the Chaste), and Laura Sessions Stepp (Unhooked: How Young Women Pursue Sex, Delay Love, and Lose at Both) in “MODEST PROPOSALS: A Conversation About Sex on Campus.” Joining them with the perspective of a recent college graduate will be Cassandra DeBenedetto, founder of Princeton University’s Anscombe Society, the first official Ivy League club affirming the importance of the family, marriage, and a proper understanding of the role of sex and sexuality. While seating is limited, “MODEST PROPOSALS” will be recorded on video and available at CardinalNewmanSociety.org. For further information, contact Mary Rose Rybak (202) 715-3498, mrybak@eppc.org, or Dawn Eden, (703) 367-0333, ext. 107, dawneden@cardinalnewmansociety.org.
