The Board of Governors of Thomas Aquinas College (TAC) in Santa Paula, Calif., announced a tuition freeze for the 2010-2011 academic year, according to a College media advisory. TAC made this decision to help lighten the financial burdens many students and their parents may be experiencing during the “current economic recession.” Peter DeLuca, the Interim President of TAC, stressed the need to keep quality education in reach of motivated students. He said, “In the midst of trying economic times, we are determined not to make college any more difficult for our undergraduates. We are committed to being good stewards of the funds our wonderful benefactors give us for the benefit of our students.” Thomas Aquinas College was featured for strong Catholic identity in The Cardinal Newman Society’s second edition of The Newman Guide to Choosing a Catholic College, which is a free online resource at www.thenewmanguide.com.
