(11/10/09) College reports saving 2 babies through "the grace of God and our physical presence"
Christendom College in Front Royal, Virginia, reports that on the morning of Saturday, October 31, more than 200 students, faculty, staff and others peacefully demonstrated their opposition to abortion outside the Planned Parenthood clinic in Washington, D.C. In the 30 years students from Christendom’s pro-life club Shield of Roses have protested abortion outside the D.C. clinic on Saturdays, the October 31 event titled “Mega Shield” reportedly drew the largest student attendance in College history. The Christendom director of admissions said, “Through the grace of God and our physical presence, we ended up saving the lives of two babies because their mothers chose not to enter the clinic that day.” Christendom College is featured for its strong Catholic identity in The Newman Guide to Choosing a Catholic College, now a free online resource.
