(11/17/09) Event titled "The Catholic University in Post-Modern Societies" taking place this week.
On Friday, November 13, the Vatican announced that the Pontifical Gregorian University will be hosting an event to discuss the responsibilities of Catholic universities. The event titled “The Catholic University in Post-Modern Societies” will be held beginning today, November 16, and running through this Friday, November 20. Themes to be discussed during the week-long event include the Catholic university in dialogue with cultures and religions, the Catholic university and the Christian intellectual tradition, the political and social responsibility of the Catholic university and the future of the Catholic university. “The Catholic University in Post-Modern Societies” is presented by the Vatican-sponsored International Federation of Catholic Universities (FIUC).
